The common type of 100G QSFP28 module includes QSFP28 SR4, QSFP28 LR4, QSFP28 PSM4, QSFP28 CWDM4(FR4/IR4) and QSFP28 PLR4. QSFP28 SR4 only provides the fiber link up to 100 meters over MTP/MPO MMF, only suit for In Rack or across Rack application between Server-TOR and LEAF. Top-Trans QSFP28 100G Module is designed for 100GBASE and Infiniband archictecture. This QSFP28 CWDM4 module uses CWDM DFB transmitter and PIN receiver to create the 100Gigabit connection via the fiber link over up to 2KM in OS2 SMF. This QSFP28 module features the LC duplex connector which can interoperate with other MSA compliant QSFP28 module by direct connect or MSA SFP28 CWDM (1271, 1291, 1311, 1331nm) module by a CWDM MUX/DEMUX Unit. This QSFP28 module is fully MSA compliant and features the online DOM/DDM to monitor the operation status. This QSFP28 module can be programmed with the compatibility to interoperate with Arista Network QSFP28 ports.
