Cloud Engine S12700 Series switches are fully programmable core/aggregation switches designed for high-density, fast-changing service, and virtualized cloud cluster campus networks. S12700 switches support up to 1 million Media Access Control (MAC) entries, 3 million Forwarding Information Base (FIB) entries and 1 million NetStream entries, facilitating large enterprises to expand cluster network terminals and services in the metropolitan area. In the normal scenario, the metropolitan area network interconnects multiple LANs in a distance between 10 to 50km using high-speed backbone technologies. 

Top-Trans QSFP+-40G-LH4 is a 40GBASE transceiver equivalent to 02310MHS, QSFP-40G-LR4 for CloudEngine S12700 series switches. This QSFP+ module features the parallel Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable (QSFP) with four independent CWDM DFB transmitters and PIN receivers. This QSFP module creates the data link of 40GBASE-LH4 over 20KM Singlemode OS2 fiber via a dual LC connector. This QSFP+ module is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3by, IEEE 802.3cc, SFF-8402, SFF-8472, 21CFP-1040 LC#50 7/2001. It features build-in DDM/DOM via the I2C Interface to monitor the operating status.
